Thanksgiving is a holiday that brings people together to eat. Just Dance is a videogame brand that brings people together to move. The synergy was obvious. What better way to get the family off the couch after dinner than a round of playing Just Dance 2? With a shoestring budget and only a week to execute, we put together the inaugural Dancegiving campaign, one of Ubisoft’s first major social media pushes. Collaborating with an illustrator, copywriter, and an external video team, we came up with the overall campaign look and message, customized dance moves, and an online video contest. As a result, Dancegiving became a staple in the Just Dance brand holiday repertoire.
